Fall Festival At Valu In North Tonawanda!

On Saturday October 21, 2017 from 11-3 our Store Team in North Tonawanda had our first Nash Rd. Fall Festival!

Scott Maryniak, Store Manager at our Nash Rd. location, writes “What a great time we had shared with Girl Scout troops 70036, 70080, and 70069. There was a lot of love from our community as we shared a fantastic fall afternoon together.”

The three Scout troops showed up fully costumed and ready to entertain guests during their fundraiser.

They sold hot dogs, locally-made Niagara Falls favorite Johnnie Ryan Soda and many lucky individuals went away with new fishy friends. (Actually, there was an area where our customers could win a goldfish with a carnival-style game.)

The goblins and ghouls that came dressed all entered to win our costume contest, the winner received a $25 American Express gift card.

Those who did not take a shot at winning a goldfish took chances to win a 40″ LED TV that was raffled off, which raised an additonal $330!

Proceeds for this day helped to sponsor further work with the local Girl Scout troops and also donations were made towards the North Tonawanda Interfaith Food Pantry. Many canned donations came in as well.

Overall our generous customers helped to collect over 8 cases of food for the NTIFP and over $500 in donations shared between the Girl Scouts and the NTIFP that will help them both organizations this upcoming holiday season!

“We’d like to thank our generous community for the continued support this endeavor, we would not be able to be as near generous if it were not for your support.”

Thank you to all of our generous customers for your continued support of Community Event Day across all Valu Home Centers locations!
