How To Make Sure Your Spooky Decorations Are Seen

Guest blog by Nora Kerstetter, Head Cashier of Valu Home Center in Meadville, PA

Many members of the Valu Home Centers team are DIY enthusiasts themselves, and Nora Kerstetter at our location in Meadville, PA is no exception!

Nora found a great way to light up her Halloween decorations to make sure they could be seen from the road. She used a few products from Valu and a lot of creative thinking to get her spooky lawn display looking great!

“You see I live on Rt. 322 which is a highway. It’s very hard to see an unlit decoration from the road. So I took a foam grave yard set that was left over from last halloween and last year you could not tell what it was, also the headstones were always blowing over. I mounted the headstones to some 2″x6″s that I painted black with Krylon Super Maxx from Valu. I did not want a huge pallet in my front yard so I tore my pallet apart and built a smaller one. Once that was built, I stapled an orange string of lights to the underside. I mounted my foam skull and his hands to the pallet and lit it up. Now I have a display that you can see from the road and stones that stay upright!”
