After a combined 77 years of service, Mike Petrillo and Mike Wienckowski are retiring from their roles at the Valu Home Centers corporate office.
It is with mixed emotions that we celebrate the careers, and retirement, of Mike Wienckowski and Mike Petrillo. These two men have meant so much to the success of Valu Home Centers, and we would like to wish them both health and happiness as they enter a new chapter in their lives.
Mike Petrillo began his Valu career 44 years ago, working in a warehouse position.
Mike quickly moved to store management, where he served our customers until being promoted to Valu’s first merchandise buyer. Mike joined the IT team 23 years ago while the company transitioned to computer systems in the stores and the office. He has been an instrumental part of the latest conversion to our newest system. His attention to detail, attitude, and dedication are second to none.
Mike Wienckowski began his relationship with Valu while working as an auditor for a local accounting firm.
His attention to detail and unwavering integrity were evident, which lead to Mike joining Valu 33 years ago. As Vice President/Controller, Mike has worked to ensure that Valu’s reputation for financial stability has remained strong year after year.
We will always consider these two men part of the Valu family. While we say goodbye to them as team members, we will always hold them in our hearts as friends.
On behalf of the Amico, Arena, and Ervolina families, please join us in congratulating Mike Wienckowski and Mike Petrillo for jobs well done!
