Santa Claus and the Stray Haven Humane Society

What’s the only thing better than Santa Claus making a visit to Valu Home Centers? Raising money for a great cause!

Store manager Eric Butterfield from the Valu Home Centers in Owego, NY got in touch with the man up north and invited him to visit Valu for the day! Customers were encouraged to bring their kids and pets to get a photo with the one and only Santa Claus. Photos were free, but donations were accepted for the Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA.

Not many people know that Mr. Claus is actually an avid do-it-yourselfer. Those reindeer stables aren’t going to renovate themselves and the north pole is surprisingly short on contractors!

The store team poses with their collected donations!

Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA is a Humane Society dedicated to ensuring the protection of animals through education and service. Proudly serving Tioga County, NY and the Greater Valley, PA for 50 years. Stray Haven is a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of our community to support our programs and continuing operation of our animal shelter. Through your donations and volunteer activities, we can continue providing the animals in our care and community the respect and care they deserve.

Even our sales associates joined in on the fun!
