You Can Help Make A Change!

Valu Home Centers is proud to announce the start of our 18th annual Make A Change campaign to benefit Kids Escaping Drugs and The Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Through Saturday, March 18th, our cashiers will be asking our generous customers to donate their loose change, or round up their purchase, to make a difference in the life of a young person in their community. Every dollar raised will stay in the area where it was collected, so all donors give where they live.

Over the last 17 years, Valu Home Centers has raised $948,720 to support the efforts of these incredibly beneficial programs that provide crucial services to children and teens, as well as their families, within all of the communities where our stores are located.

We would like to thank our customers, as well as our media partners, for making this campaign a great success over the last 16 years, and express our unending gratitude for their support of these worthwhile organizations.

Tens of thousands of volunteers, donors and supporters advance the Make-A-Wish®vision to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition.

In the United States, on average, a wish is granted every 35 minutes. Wish granters create an unforgettable experience driven by the child’s creativity. They strive to personalize each wish and to make it match the wish kid’s idea of a perfect day. Your donation is vital to help grant wishes for children in your community. To learn more about the Make-A-Wish Foundation, donate, volunteer, or nominate a child for a wish, please visit http://wish.org/ today.

Kids Escaping Drugs raise, manage and distribute funds for the development and support of facilities, community education, and advocacy programs for adolescents and their families in Western New York suffering from alcohol and drug dependency/addiction.

Underage alcohol and drug use remain one of the most serious public health threats facing adolescents in the Western New York region. While in treatment, those residing on campus continue their education through traditional schooling, equivalency preparation, college preparation or vocational education. They also participate in art, music and recreational therapy. The five building campus (three residences, recreational facility and administrative/educational center) provide for a comfortable “home-like” residence that is safe and supportive. Your contribution helps fund these critical programs for youth in crisis here in the Western New York community. To learn more about the Face2Face prevention program, donate, volunteer, or refer a loved one struggling with addiction, please visit https://ked.org/ today.

Please consider donating your spare change, or rounding up your next Valu Home Centers purchase to help forward the missions of these great local organizations!
